Video Emerges of Harris Warning Gun Owners of Home Invasions

An old video of Vice President Kamala Harris has resurfaced, potentially jeopardizing her support in the upcoming November elections.

In the footage, recorded during her time as San Francisco’s District Attorney, Harris discusses the idea of invading gun owners’ homes to ensure their “responsibility.”

“Just because you legally possess a gun in the sanctity of your locked home doesn’t mean that we’re not going to walk into that home and check to see if you’re being responsible,” she said.

Harris made the statement in May 2007 during a press conference regarding legislation she co-drafted to impose penalties on gun owners who fail to store their firearms safely at home, as reported by Fox News Digital.

The bill was later signed into law by then-San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, who referred to it as “the strictest anti-gun laws in the country.”

At that time, Harris characterized the measure as a means to legislate “our values” and to “encourage certain types of behavior.”

“When we create laws, it’s not only about creating an opportunity, if you will, to prosecute someone for committing a crime, but more importantly, when we legislate our values, it’s about trying to encourage certain types of behavior,” she said.

In her first interview as the Democratic presidential nominee, Harris told CNN’s Dana Bash that her values remain unchanged, despite her frequent shifts on key policy issues, some of which resemble Trump’s stances.

Critics frequently describe her as a chameleon, accusing her of altering her policies to appeal to different voter groups.

“As she said last night in her interview, her values have not changed. She said that over and over again,” Lora Ries, an expert in border security from the Heritage Foundation, told Fox News Digital following the interview.

“She is telling her base, ‘Look, don’t worry about what the campaign is saying right now. We just have to say that to try and get elected. But my values have not changed.’”

When Trump challenged her on her frequent policy changes during the debate, including her previous support for gun buyback programs aimed at “confiscating everybody’s gun,” she denied the accusation.

“This business about taking everyone’s guns away. Tim Walz and I are both gun owners. We’re not taking anybody’s guns away. So stop with the continuous lying about this stuff,” she said.

If Harris truly believes her policies have not changed, it implies she supports confiscating millions of guns and infringing on the freedoms of many Americans. This stance contradicts her campaign theme of “freedom” and offers gun owners something to ponder as November approaches.
