Former President Donald Trump is hoping his supporters will embrace his latest venture: a line of signature shoes. These exclusive shoes, dubbed the “Never Surrender High-Tops,” feature a shiny gold design with an American flag detail on the back. They are being sold for $399 on a newly launched website alongside other Trump-branded shoes and “Victory47” cologne and perfume, each priced at $99 a bottle.
The website, run by CIC Ventures LLC, a company Trump reported owning in his 2023 financial disclosure, emphasizes that this venture is not political and has no connection to any political campaign. It describes the shoes as a limited-edition, numbered “true collector’s item” that is “Bold, gold, and tough, just like President Trump.”
Despite this, Trump campaign officials have promoted the shoes’ launch on social media, and the website’s branding and language evoke Trump’s political persona, referencing his potential run for the 47th presidency in 2024.
Michael Tyler, Communications Director for the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign, expressed disdain for former President Donald Trump’s new business venture. In a statement, Tyler compared Trump’s shoes to bootleg Off-White and Nike brands, implying that Trump’s involvement with these products is as close as he’ll get to the Air Force Ones he once enjoyed as president for the rest of his life.
