Reacting to the unexpected endorsement from BLM’s Mark Fisher, Trump expressed on Wednesday that he felt “very honored” to receive his support, along with the backing of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Trump added: “’Spoke with Mark Fisher yesterday, a great guy, very honored to have his and BLM’s support. I have done more for Black people than any other President, including 10-year funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities, where they had none, Opportunity Zones, Criminal Justice Reform, and much more. Thank you to Mark!”

Following BLM’s support for Hamas and their October 7th attack on Israeli civilians, Fisher’s endorsement has sparked criticism from Democratic leaders, including Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY), the governor of New York, and the mayor of New York City. Fisher is reported to face backlash within BLM circles, with a spokesperson stating to Newsweek that he is “no longer affiliated with BLM RI.”
