Former President Donald J. Trump is projected to win the battleground state of Wisconsin, capturing its 10 Electoral College votes, based on a projection from Decision Desk HQ.
The call was made for Trump with 95% of the vote counted, as he led Vice President Kamala Harris 51.4% to 47.2%, pushing Trump’s total past the 270 Electoral College votes needed.
In 2020, Biden narrowly won Wisconsin by a margin of 0.8 points over Trump—a tighter outcome than expected, given pre-election polls that had Biden leading by a significant margin.

There is no automatic recount in Wisconsin, but candidates may request one if their margin of loss is 1.0 percentage points or less.
Leading up to the election, polls showed a close race between the two candidates, with Vice President Kamala Harris holding a narrow 0.4-point lead over Trump in the RealClearPolitics average.
Political ad spending in Wisconsin has surged this election cycle, jumping from $209 million in 2020 to $637 million in 2024.
This year, Republicans spent $263 million, while Democrats spent $361 million on all races in the state. In the 2024 presidential race, Democrats outspent Republicans $145 million to $96 million in Wisconsin.
