Trump Claims Iran Has Tried to Assassinate Him Multiple Times and Will Attempt Again

Former President Donald Trump said early Wednesday that intelligence officials have informed him about Iran’s attempts to assassinate him, and he believes Tehran “will try again.”

“Big threats on my life by Iran. The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting,” Trump, 78, wrote on Truth Social — just hours after Ryan Wesley Routh was charged with attempting to assassinate the former president on his golf course earlier this month.

“Moves were already made by Iran that didn’t work out, but they will try again. Not a good situation for anyone,” he continued.

“I am surrounded by more men, guns, and weapons than I have ever seen before. Thank you to Congress for unanimously approving far more money to Secret Service – Zero ‘NO’ Votes, strictly bipartisan.”

“Nice to see Republicans and Democrats get together on something. An attack on a former President is a Death Wish for the attacker!”

The Trump campaign announced this after two assassination attempts against the 45th president in 2024.

On July 13, a bullet grazed his ear when Thomas Matthew Crooks fired at him during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Crooks, 20, was immediately shot and killed by the Secret Service.

On September 15, a Secret Service agent spotted Ryan Wesley Routh hiding in the hedges near Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course while he was golfing. Routh fled but was apprehended a few hours later and now faces a potential life sentence.

Meanwhile, Iran has denied U.S. allegations of interfering in American affairs.
