Report: Harris Campaign Prevented Media from Interviewing Voters at PA Rally

The Harris campaign reportedly prevented media reporters from talking to voters outside a rally in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, on Monday.

Vice President Kamala Harris’s limited media access may indicate concerns about how voters might discuss her controversial record. This approach mirrors that of President Joe Biden, who infrequently held solo press conferences and rarely participated in live interviews.

In 2019, GovTrack rated Harris as the most liberal senator, even more so than socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). However, this assessment was withdrawn in July, as it was based on a single year of data, deemed insufficient for a comprehensive evaluation of legislative activity. Additionally, the New York Times deemed Harris the least electable of ten potential Democratic nominees. More information on Harris’s record can be found here.

Steve Peoples of the Associated Press reported the unusual campaign strategy on X, noting, “Harris campaign staff at the PA event allowed me to leave the press pen to talk to voters after an intervention from someone at Delaware headquarters.”

As Harris’s so-called “honeymoon” phase comes to an end, her relationship with the media is likely to face scrutiny. She has yet to participate in a one-on-one interview since becoming the Democratic Party’s de facto nominee, possibly to avoid difficult policy questions.

Harris’s policy positions appear to be evolving rapidly. According to anonymous campaign sources, the New York Times reported on Monday that Harris now supports fracking, advocates for increased border funding, opposes mandatory government buybacks of assault weapons, and no longer endorses a single-payer health insurance system.

“Our strategy remains unchanged,” Trump campaign national spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told Politico Playbook on Monday.

Kamala Harris is just as incompetent as Joe Biden and even more liberal. Not only does Kamala need to defend her support of Joe Biden’s failed agenda over the past four years, she also needs to answer for her own terrible weak-on-crime record in California. A vote for Kamala is a vote to continue inflation, open borders, high gas prices, and war around the world.

An Economist/YouGov poll found that only 39 percent of registered independents consider Harris to be “qualified” to be president.
