Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) attempted to quell concerns among businesses by stating they “have no reason to be concerned” following a recent penalty decision against former President Trump.
When questioned by John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM’s The Cats Roundtable about whether New York businesses should be worried that “if they can do that to the former president, they can do that to anybody,” Hochul responded.
“I think that this is really an extraordinary, unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about,” Hochul replied, “because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior.”
Following Trump’s unjustified $355 million fine and three-year ban from conducting business in New York, this civil fraud case was a clear demonstration of political persecution by New York State Attorney General Letitia James, who found no evidence of wrongdoing or victims. The allegation that Trump inflated his property’s value for bank loans was unfounded; the lenders confirmed Trump’s innocence, and all loans were repaid with interest.
This was not merely election interference against a prominent opposition leader; it was a cautionary message to other New York businesses, warning them not to deviate from the Democratic Party’s agenda.
It’s irrational to conduct business in New York. The state has abandoned the Rule of Law to target opposition leaders like Trump over mere political disagreements. With that constant threat looming, why would anyone choose to stay in New York? Today, you may think you’re aligned with the right political stance, but what about tomorrow? In under a decade, Democrats have shifted from supporting same-sex marriage to advocating for men to use the same locker room as your daughter and compete against her in sports.Where will the Democrats’ frenzy end? How long can a New York businessperson maintain good political standing with the left? Democrats are already working to normalize and legalize pedophilia. And let’s not forget…
Democrats now demand you demonstrate your allegiance. Merely staying silent is no longer sufficient. You must validate your loyalty by adhering to the “approved” pronouns and displaying the “right” signs because, in progressive circles, silence is tantamount to capitulation.
Hochul isn’t striving to “reassure” New York businesses. Her aim is to entice them to stay and deepen their roots, making it easier to manipulate them into fulfilling the left’s political agenda or to drain them dry like Trump Inc.
Ask yourself: If Trump is forced to pay that $335 million, who gets the money? No private person or corporation sued him. The state initiated this. So, who gets all that money?
Whether you run a large corporation or a small enterprise, consider this your warning. Based solely on your political stance, you are now aware that the state is prepared to intervene and destroy you—deplete your hard-earned assets, tarnish your name, and obliterate your means of making a living.
Only those who are foolish will persist in conducting business in New York.
