Hunter Biden has filed a lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani, alleging that the former New York City mayor “illegally accessed” his notorious laptop, even though Hunter left the computer at a repair shop. This legal action also includes Robert Costello, a former federal prosecutor who served as Giuliani’s defense, as a co-defendant, as reported by CNBC.
“For the past many months and even years, Defendants have dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and energy toward looking for, hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen from Plaintiff’s devices or storage platforms, including what Defendants claim to have obtained from Plaintiff’s alleged ‘laptop’ computer,” the filing says.
Giuliani and Costello have openly admitted to accessing the hard drive of the device that Biden left at a Delaware repair shop back in 2019, as reported by CBS. These files, containing records of numerous foreign business dealings of Hunter in China and Ukraine, were provided to them by the repair shop owner, John Paul Mac Isaac.
In the lawsuit, it is alleged that Giuliani and Costello employed Hunter Biden’s username to gain access to the data, subsequently engaging in actions such as “altering, modifying,” copying, and sharing it with individuals like Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon and other associates. CBS also reported that the lawsuit references statements made by Giuliani on his podcast earlier this year.
“This belongs to Hunter Biden,” the former New York City mayor boasted while holding up a laptop during a Feb. 2 installment of “America’s Mayor Live.”
“[Giuliani] proceeded to brag about having copied [Hunter Biden’s] data onto his own computer and about having accessed, analyzed and manipulated the transferred data,” the suit claims.
This lawsuit targeting Giuliani and Costello is the most recent development in Hunter Biden’s ongoing campaign to counter the revelations surrounding his involvement in influence-peddling activities over the past several months.
