Exclusive: Wesley Hunt Throws Support Behind Kari Lake for U.S. Senate

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) has exclusively thrown his support behind Republican Kari Lake for the U.S. Senate seat in Arizona, Breitbart News can confirm.

This endorsement holds significant weight, as the Arizona Senate race is expected to be one of the most hotly contested of 2024.

Should Lake secure the Republican nomination, she could potentially face off against either independent incumbent Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) or Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), both of whom are formidable contenders.

Recent polling data from Rasmussen indicates that Lake is currently leading in general election polling by four points.

“America is in dire need of new leadership, especially as the Democrats in Congress have failed to address the needs of the middle class and have made no progress in securing our border,” Hunt stated in an interview with Breitbart News.

“Kari Lake is an outsider and fighter who will work to secure the border and put Arizonans First,” he added. “I am excited to endorse Kari for the Senate in Arizona to bring much needed change to Washington.”

The endorsement is the latest by leading conservatives, including:

  • Former President Donald Trump
  • NRSC Chairman Steve Daines (R-MT)
  • Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton
  • House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY)

“Wesley Hunt is a conservative rockstar. He fought for our freedom in the military and is standing up to Joe Biden’s radical agenda. I’m thrilled to have his endorsement for Senate in Arizona,” Lake told Breitbart News in response.
