Democratic strategist Theryn Bond has voiced opposition to Vice President Kamala Harris pursuing a potential third presidential campaign. Harris recently lost the 2024 election to President-elect Donald Trump and ended her 2020 campaign before 2019 concluded.
Bond discussed Harris’ political future during an appearance on Newsmax’s National Report on Tuesday. According to a POLITICO report, Harris could consider either a third White House bid or a run for governor in her home state of California.
"I hope [Kamala Harris] doesn't [run for president in '28]. And if she is relying on those same advisers that advised her this cycle, that's not who I would listen to."

When asked if Harris was making the right choice by assuring donors and allies of her commitment to stay “in the fight,” Bond firmly stated that she did not believe that fight should include another presidential campaign.
“Not to run for president again in 2028. Please don’t,” she said.
“I can’t really speak for governor of California. Californians seem to support her significantly,” Bond continued. “We haven’t yet been able to measure what that support looks like after this current run she just had. That may be the only thing that she, I guess, may make sense for her to consider, but another shot at the presidency, I hope she doesn’t, and if she is relying on those same advisers that advised her this cycle, that’s not who I would listen to.”
Bond isn’t alone in opposing a potential third campaign by Harris. Democratic megadonor John Morgan also advised against another run, criticizing her 2024 campaign for spending over $1 billion without success.
Speaking with NewsNation host Chris Cuomo, Morgan argued that Harris’ handling of her campaign and finances “disqualified her forever,” asserting that she “cannot be trusted with the money.”
“If you can’t run a campaign, you can’t run America,” he said. “The same thing is going to follow Harris for the rest of her career. She cannot be trusted with the money, and the donors are going to be, like, ‘Where is this money?’”
