Caitlyn Jenner Addresses Meme Involving Texas Restaurant’s Use of Transition Photos on Bathroom Doors

Caitlyn Jenner, who has undergone gender transition, responded with a touch of humor when an old 2017 post from a Texas restaurant resurfaced. This post showcased enlarged images of Caitlyn Jenner before and after her gender transition to indicate the restroom designated for men and women. The pre-transition image depicted her winning gold in the Olympic decathlon, while the post-transition image showed her in a strapless dress.

On Twitter, a meme circulated featuring a photo of these restroom doors, posing the question, “Is this Funny or Not?”

The Texas restaurant faced substantial criticism for posting and endorsing these politically incorrect posters.

Jenner took the high road and responded simply, “Funny as hell.”

As per a Facebook post and information from the Daily Caller, the Twitter meme isn’t a recent creation; rather, it was recently shared again. Dodie’s Place Cajun Bar & Grill originally shared images of their restroom doors back in November 2017.

At the time, the owners reported the door decorations were “merely a lighthearted gesture to push back against the political correctness that seems to have a stranglehold on the country right now.”

Nevertheless, the post sparked backlash and accusations of transphobia, prompting the owners of Dodie’s Place Cajun Bar & Grill to issue an apology to Caitlyn Jenner.

Caitlyn Jenner graciously accepted the apology. Following an unsuccessful gubernatorial campaign in California in 2020, she transitioned into a role as a contributor for Fox News Media.

The Olympic champion shares conservative views on various political matters, including concerns about the participation of biological males in women’s sports.
