Trump-Vance Team Shares Pictures and Details of Trump’s Updated Oval Office

President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance’s team have unveiled images and details of the redesigned Oval Office for Trump’s second administration. While there are a few new touches, several classic elements from his first term have returned.

A feature in The Wall Street Journal highlighted some of the changes. One notable addition is a portrait of Andrew Jackson from the White House art collection, now paired with Benjamin Franklin’s portrait, which had been introduced during former President Joe Biden’s term and retained by Trump. Beneath Jackson’s portrait is the return of Frederic Remington’s sculpture The Bronco Buster, a centerpiece from Trump’s previous Oval Office decor.

As tradition dictates, the Oval Office was redecorated shortly after the outgoing president’s departure. According to a White House aide, by 10:58 a.m. on Inauguration Day, the blue rug used during Biden’s term had been replaced with the neutral rug previously favored by Trump. Adjustments included partially disassembling the Resolute Desk to position the rug correctly.

Other notable updates include the addition of silver eagle figurines above the fireplace mantel and the reinstatement of flags representing each branch of the U.S. military, which had been removed during Biden’s administration. Trump also brought back the bust of Winston Churchill, which now sits near the fireplace alongside a bust of Martin Luther King Jr., a feature retained from both Biden’s and Trump’s earlier terms.

One distinctive feature that has made a comeback is the Diet Coke button on the Resolute Desk, a hallmark of Trump’s first administration. The desk also displayed a tray of pens for signing executive orders on his first day as the 47th President of the United States.

Other familiar elements include the portraits of Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington, the latter hanging above the fireplace. Additionally, a bouquet of flowers and a square gold paperweight embossed with “Trump” adorn the coffee table, adding a personal touch.
