President Trump Declares ‘Golden Age of America’ in Inaugural Address, Vows to Restore National Greatness

Shortly after taking the oath of office, President Donald J. Trump delivered a passionate inaugural address, promising to usher in what he called the “Golden Age of America.” Speaking before a large audience at the U.S. Capitol, Trump pledged to prioritize national sovereignty, economic prosperity, and a renewed sense of American pride and unity.

“From this day forward, our country will flourish and be respected again all over the world,” Trump declared. “We will be the envy of every nation, and we will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of any longer. During every single day of the Trump administration, I will very simply put America first.”

The newly sworn-in president outlined his key priorities, including securing the U.S.-Mexico border, revitalizing the economy, and ending what he referred to as the “weaponization of the justice system.” Trump criticized years of what he described as corruption and failures under previous administrations, vowing to “reclaim our sovereignty and restore our safety.”

“Our liberties and our nation’s glorious destiny will no longer be denied,” he said. “From this moment on, America’s decline is over.”

Trump emphasized his administration’s focus on restoring trust in government, addressing what he described as “a crisis of trust” caused by ineffective leadership and radical policies. He pledged to reverse betrayals that he claimed have undermined the nation’s strength.

“We now have a government that cannot manage even a simple crisis at home while stumbling into catastrophe abroad,” Trump said, pointing to domestic challenges and international crises he attributed to his predecessor.

The president reaffirmed his commitment to securing the southern border, calling it a “national emergency,” and criticized policies that he claimed allowed “dangerous criminals and gangs” to enter the country unchecked. He vowed to end what he called the “open border disaster,” prioritizing American citizens over foreign interests.

“We have a government that has given unlimited funding to the defense of foreign borders but refuses to defend American borders,” he said, promising to “immediately take action to secure our nation.”

Trump also extended an olive branch to communities he credited with contributing to his election victory. He expressed gratitude for the support of Black and Hispanic voters, stating that their voices had been heard.

“To the Black and Hispanic communities, I want to thank you for the tremendous outpouring of love and trust that you have shown me,” Trump said. “We will work together to make the American dream a reality for all.”

In a poignant moment, Trump reflected on a recent assassination attempt in Pennsylvania that he said nearly took his life.

“I was saved by God to make America great again,” he stated, describing the bullet that grazed his ear as a reminder of his commitment to the nation’s cause.

Declaring January 20, 2025, as “Liberation Day,” Trump framed his return to the presidency as a historic moment, asserting that the country is on the brink of a significant turnaround.

“My return to the presidency is a mandate to completely and totally reverse the betrayals of the past,” Trump said. “We will restore integrity, competency, and loyalty to America’s government.”

Looking ahead, Trump pledged relentless efforts to restore prosperity, safety, and peace for all Americans.

“Confidence and pride are soaring like never before, and in everything we do, we will pursue unrelenting success,” he said in conclusion.

As President Trump begins his second term, his ambitious agenda and promises of sweeping reforms set the stage for a highly anticipated and closely watched administration.
