A Question for Democrats Concerned About Elon Musk

While many Americans find the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party astounding, it seems Democrats cannot help but contradict themselves at every turn. Truth-telling, it appears, has become a lost art for some in their ranks.

This hypocrisy is on full display in the ongoing drama surrounding the Continuing Resolution (CR). RedState’s Bonchie summarized the backlash against the bill:

“In short, this CR is yet another attempt to hamstring the incoming Trump administration and codify a series of Democrat priorities before Republicans take full control of the government. To do that now would be inexcusable and a betrayal of the voters who showed up to the polls in 2024 to put the GOP in power.”

On Wednesday, Elon Musk and his co-chair of the DOGE party, Vivek Ramaswamy, weighed in on this contentious bill to temporarily fund the federal government. Musk unleashed a series of tweets criticizing the bill, culminating in this warning:

“Any member of the House or Senate who votes for this outrageous spending bill deserves to be voted out in 2 years!”

The day began with questions about the content of the bill and ended with widespread opposition. In the interim, Musk, with his relentless online campaign, managed to derail the legislation and send Congress scrambling for alternatives.

Democrats, predictably, have lashed out at Musk. They despise him not only for his acquisition of Twitter and his promotion of free speech but also for his alignment with President-elect Donald Trump. Musk’s actions during this debate have left Democrats in disarray, as evidenced by Senator Mark Warner’s (D-VA) reaction:

“It’s a sad state of affairs when the richest man in the world can send us straight towards a government shutdown.

He’ll be fine, but a lot of the servicemembers working without paychecks during Christmas won’t be.”

But here’s what’s truly sad, Senator: Democrats, who spent years misleading the American people about Joe Biden’s declining health, now have the audacity to criticize Musk for exposing flaws in their proposed bill.

The Real Big Lie

So, here’s my question for the Democrats who are outraged by Elon Musk’s actions:

What did you know about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, and when did you know it?

Throughout Biden’s presidency, the public wondered who was really in charge—Jill Biden, Hunter Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, or Hillary Clinton? Democrats, however, were busy promoting the falsehood that Joe Biden was fully capable and in control.

Now, with the president retreating to Delaware a week before Christmas while Congress battles over a budget, it’s clear that leadership has been ceded to others. Yet, Democrats would have you believe that Elon Musk is the problem.

Let’s be honest: Democrats were content with unelected officials running the country during Biden’s presidency. They shouldn’t feign outrage now that Musk, a private citizen, is stepping in to highlight corruption and leadership failures.

Any Democrat who remained silent about Biden’s cognitive decline has no standing to criticize Musk. They accepted a system where unelected staffers made critical decisions, and now they must live with the consequences.

This situation is a product of their own making. The Democrats created this precedent and bear full responsibility for the fallout.
