Threatening Letters Sent to Trump Supporters in Philadelphia

Several pro-Trump voters in Pennsylvania have reported receiving threatening letters through the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). These letters, which mimic Trump campaign letterhead, seem to target individuals based on their political beliefs.

Specifically aimed at voters in Philadelphia, the letters outline various reasons against supporting former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election.

To make matters worse, the letters include explicit threats regarding the consequences of voting for him.

“We know where you live, you are in the data base,” the writer alleges. It also goes on to threaten the voter’s family, stating, “your cat might get shot.”

The incident was initially reported by the Post Millennial, which obtained a copy of the letter from a Trump supporter.

The letter begins by thanking the voter but then highlights the political violence and “threats to our democracy and freedoms,” urging the reader to examine “the truth.”

It proceeds to criticize Trump, labeling him a “rapist” and a felon, and references the events of January 6, claiming, “He is a major reason violence [i]s up.”

The letter asserts that supporting Trump means endorsing a disregard for the law, civil discourse, and unity, and suggests that such support reflects hatred for minorities, immigrants, women, education, and the rights of fellow citizens, including women’s healthcare decisions.

It warns that if Trump wins in November, “the consequences will be staggering,” predicting national division, economic collapse, and intrusive government oversight.

“But more importantly, we know where you live, you are in the data base,” the letter continues. “In the dead of a cold winters night, this year, or next and beyond, there is no knowing what will happen. Your property, your family may be impacted, your cat may get shot. And more.”

The letter urged the reader to conduct their own research, labeling Trump as “the biggest threat to the country.”

The writer concluded with a direct threat, stating, “Your vote for this guy is seen as treading on my rights. You tread on me at your peril, motherf*cker. We look forward to visiting in the future.”

One recipient, Janet from Penn Valley, who displays several Trump signs on her lawn, contacted the Lower Merion Police but was told there was little they could do without video evidence.

Janet also noted that another resident reported receiving the same letter to the police. A local resident confirmed to the outlet that she had spoken with others who received the same threatening letter, which was placed in mailboxes without proper postage.

Each recipient prominently displays Trump signs, indicating the writer specifically targeted outspoken supporters. This incident isn’t the first of its kind; in 2020, Trump supporters in New Hampshire reported receiving similar letters, leading to investigations by the USPS and the FBI.
