Kamala Asserts to Oprah: Intruders Beware—“You Enter My Home, You Face Consequences!”

Vice President Kamala Harris told Oprah Winfrey during a sit-down interview with the host on Thursday that if someone breaks into her house then they would be shot.

The vice president bragged to Oprah that she was a “gun owner” and added that “if somebody breaks into my house, they gettin’ shot.” Harris then followed up, “Sorry, probably shouldn’t have said that! But my staff will deal with that later.”

Harris, who has expressed support for mandatory gun buyback programs, has sought to position herself as a moderate on the Second Amendment. However, when Senator Raphael Warnock, a surrogate for Harris, addressed the issue, he sidestepped questions about her stance on buybacks, stating, “We’re not going to get where we need to go without action,” according to the Guardian.

During her 2019 presidential campaign, Harris consistently endorsed mandatory gun buybacks, calling it a “good idea” and affirming her support for such measures. When her campaign finally unveiled a policy platform over a month after she became the nominee, it included an “assault weapons ban.”

The New York Times reported that various groups, including White Dudes for Harris and Cat Ladies for Kamala, supported her during the Oprah interview. Harris made a controversial claim linking the death of Amber Thurman, who died from an infection after taking abortion pills, to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

In reality, her tragic death was due to hospital neglect. Family members spoke out, and Harris commented on the law’s overturning, stating, “It’s a health care crisis that affects the patient and the profession.”
